About Evan’s Toolkit

Hi! I'm Danielle, also known as Evan’s Mum. While I'm the one typing away behind most of these posts, this blog is really a team effort. Dad's got an incredible creative streak, so when you see some cool design around here, that's all him. We both pour our experiences and insights into this space, hoping to make a difference in someone else's journey.

So, who's Evan? He's our superhero and our middle son. He was born at 31 weeks and every day he faces joint pain, chronic fatigue, and a bunch of other health challenges. Being there for Evan, while also supporting his two super brothers, turns life into quite the balancing act.

Throughout this journey, we've read deep into medical research, spent countless hours connecting with medical professionals, and found some awesome online communities. The toolkit you’ll find here is not just a metaphor, it’s a collection of real tools, tips, and strategies that have made a difference in Evan's life.

Our goal for Evan is simple. We want him to be able to Play with Less Pain. Sure, we dream big – imagining a day he's completely pain-free, but for now, we're focusing on achievable, short-term wins. More than anything, we want Evan to enjoy the simple joys of being a kid – running around, playing, and making awesome memories.

Please remember: We are not medical professionals. Everything you read here is based on our own journey and tons of late-night research. It's not a substitute for professional advice. Every kid is different, so what works for Evan may not be the answer for another little superhero. But we really hope that some of the tools from our toolkit may help you.

Thanks for visiting, and hey, if you're into the whole social media thing, catch us on Instagram. We share our ups, downs, and everything in between – and we've found an abundance of love and support there from people who truly get it.

xo, Danielle
